Tip: Labeling your Films

In my Advanced French courses I like to show more mature films. In the past I have shown "Les Miserables" and "Elle s'appellait Sarah". Both films have some moments that aren't for all audiences. I had watched both films before showing them to my classes, but I had forgotten some of the details that may be seen as inappropriate with parents.   So the last time I showed it I put a stickie note on the inside panel with the  TIME of inappropriate scene, SHORT DESCRIPTION of what to skip, and WHAT TIME TO SKIP TO so that the next time I show it I remember in advance! It is nothing fancy, but will serve as a good reminder for me in the future!

French Reference Placemat

I made this awesome placemat for all levels of my class. I color printed, laminated, and taped them onto their desk. The goal is that students will be able to use the target language more often. At first students will use it as a crutch but I am confident that as time goes on students will start to memorize the phrases!!

I got the idea from teacher named Deb Blaz who took a similar version off the internet. I couldn't find her's so I made this one myself! All the images are from Microsoft Office so you should be able to reproduce with no problem!

All Level Emergency Lesson Plans Day 1

Bonjour!
For some reason it seems extremely difficult to find emergency lesson plans for French online. One of the reasons I started this blog was because I wanted to provide free resources for other French teachers.

Here is my emergency lesson plan for day 1. It is a verb flip chart. Very easy to make and can be very helpful. It would also be a good idea to follow up the next day with a quick verb quiz. (Much easier than grading everyone's' charts!)

La Géographie Française

I created this French Geography worksheet since my textbook didn't come with any.  It covers France it's rivers, mountains, and boarding countries. It could easily be translated and reused in English as well!

I also posted a lot of new content on the French Revolution on my teacher page. Somethings I created and other things I found on the internet. Check it out here!

Bonne Chance!
